Born in the hustle and bustle of Dublin in the 1970s, to an Austro-Czech Jewish hippy mother and a conscientious objector communist beat writer father, David grew up in the eastern suburbs of Paris to the sound of nascent hip-hop. Singer-songwriter and producer of 3 Folk, Blues and Rock albums, he founded the studios and the label Milk Music in Paris, which moved to Bordeaux in 2011, the opportunity to start rubbing shoulders with composing for the image. First for music bookstores, then documentary series for France TV and Arte and finally for fiction on the feature film "Peur de rien" by Danièle Arbid and the series "Beyond Appearances" by Eric Woreth.

David Carroll is also the co-founder of the Slowfest collective, a laboratory for experimenting with the ecological transition for the performing arts and a confirmed live performer with more than 400 concerts to his credit throughout Europe and the USA solo or with his group The Migrating Fellows.

He also accompanies the Geneva Water Hub as artistic director to mobilize artists around the world on the issue of water (Symphony for Water and Peace in 2017, Voice of the River, Path of Peace in 2021-22).
