Manager of label and publisher YOTANKA, Clarisse Arnou began her career in the music industry as an artist manager at the age of 21.
Last year and 15 years later, she was elected President of the independent labels' union UPFI, the first woman to hold this position in the organization's 30-year history.
Honored as one of the 100 Women of Culture, she also received the Keychange Inspiration Award in 2022.
The story begins 10 years earlier, when she took the reins of the independent label Yotanka. At the age of 25, she developed an eclectic catalog of French and international artists such as Kid Francescoli; H Burns, Elisapie, Mesparrow, Muthoni Drummer Queen, Palatine... ranging from pop and electro to rap and chanson. In 2017, rising electro artist Thylacine offered her management. She will also produce her albums via Intuitve Records, which she now runs. In 2019, and faced with the fact that only 13% of record labels in France are run by women, Clarisse naturally became involved in the issue of feminization of the music industry. She joined MEWEM (the first mentoring scheme for women in music) as a volunteer and began mentoring female entrepreneurs.
