Christopher MILES is the State Administrator.
Born in November 1967, an alumnus of the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA – 1994), a graduate of the École du Louvre (specialising in the history of Western sculpture in 1992) and the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (1989), Christopher MILES was head of the budget office at the Ministry of Culture and Communication (1994-1997), before joining the Théâtre National de l'Odéon – Théâtre de l'Europe in Paris as an administrator (1997-2003).
He then took over the management of the French Cultural Institute of Barcelona (2003-2006) and then returned to the Ministry of Culture and Communication as Deputy Secretary General, then Secretary General of the Directorate of Music, Dance, Theatre and Entertainment, Secretary General of the 131 "Creation" Programme (2006-2009).
From January 2010 to April 2011, he was deputy to Georges-François HIRSCH, Director General of Artistic Creation at the Ministry of Culture and Communication before joining the General Secretariat as Director, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry in March 2011.
From December 2012 to September 2014, he was deputy director and budget advisor in Aurélie Filippetti's cabinet, then advisor in charge of the budget and modernization in Fleur Pellerin's cabinet.
From October 2014 to May 2017, he was Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
From June 2017 to January 2021, he was Deputy Director General of the Palais de Tokyo.
