Catherine Simard made her professional debut with L'Équipe Spectra in 2004, in the press relations department of the Festival de Jazz et des Francos de Montréal. After spending a few years in communications and then on the sponsorship team, she decided to move closer to artistic creation, and became a show agent at Spectra Musique in 2010.
Eighteen months later, she became General Manager of this division, which brings together a record label, an entertainment agency and one of the country's leading show production companies. She has contributed to the success of many Quebec artists, including Jean Leloup, Patrice Michaud and Philippe Brach, as well as organizing numerous Canadian tours by European artists.
In the fall of 2018, she left the company that saw her grow to take on a major challenge: the creation of her own company, La maison fauve. Surrounded by a small, passionate team, she continues her work as show producer, agent, manager and record label owner for a number of artists with whom she has developed a special relationship (Ariane Roy, Alexandra Stréliski, Michel Rivard, Dominique Fils-Aimé, Eli Rose, Vallières, Patrice Michaud and Philippe Brach).
La maison fauve was awarded the Félix for Entertainment Agency of the Year in 2021 and 2022.
