Camille Delafon is a French musician, composer and music producer based in The Hague and Paris.
Trained as a jazz pianist and she also graduated in electroacoustic music in Conservatoire Regional de Paris and studied contemporary music in Conservatoire d'Aubervilliers. She has composed the music for a dozen documentaries for TV (Arte and Canal+), commercials (Hermès, American Vintage, etc.), short films, and several feature films for the cinema, the latest of which, No One and Nothing (Rien ni Personne), by Gallien Guibert, will be theatrically released in January 2024.
She is a laureate of some of the best scoring workshops in France like Emergence, Trio (Sacem/Maison du film), European film music market/3rd character (MCM) and her work often receives support from SACEM and CNC (National Center for Cinema).
In 2019, she founded with other women film music composers the Troisième Autrice (Third Author) Collective, which aims to share knowledge and support the careers of women and gender/sexual minority composers, and works also to change representations of the profession, while reflecting on the culture and practices of the audiovisual professional ecosystem.
In addition to her scoring activity, Camille produces contemporary music and sound installations, and develops a solo project whose first single will be released in winter 2024.
