Camille Delafon is a musician, composer and music producer based in Paris/The Hague (NL).
Trained as a jazz pianist, she also holds a DEM in electroacoustic music from the Conservatoire Régional de Paris, and studied contemporary music at the Conservatoire Régional d'Aubervilliers.
She has composed music for a dozen documentaries for Arte and Canal+, advertising films (Hermès , American Vintage..), short films, and several feature films for cinema, the latest of which, Rien ni Personne, by Gallien Guibert, will be released in January 2024. She is a prizewinner in the Emergence, Trio (Sacem/Maison du film), European film music market/3eme personnage (MCM) schemes, and her work is regularly supported by SACEM and CNC.
In 2019, she and other female film music composers will found the Collectif Troisième Autrice, which works to share knowledge and support the careers of female and minority composers, and to transform representations of the profession while reflecting on culture and practices within the professional audiovisual ecosystem.
At the same time, Camille produces contemporary music and sound installations, and is developing a solo project whose first single will be released in winter 2024.
