Educated at Paris-Dauphine University, Aura Anahita specializes in the administration of cultural projects and works in theatres, festivals and cultural third places before joining a French Institute abroad. After two years in Cairo, she set up her own independent consulting and artist management business.

In 2021, she created the Mahalla production company dedicated to the emerging music scenes of North Africa and West Asia (SWANA in English). Mahalla is committed to better representation of artists from these regions and diasporas. Mahalla has 3 areas of activity: concert/tour production, artistic support and content creation.

She also co-founded the Total Totem label with the Ko Shin Moon group.
