Alex graduated in Telecommunications Engineering and then joined the Music Technology Group (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona) as a researcher. During this period, he co-authored scientific papers and co-invented several patents on audio and music computing, mainly for the Yamaha Corporation. In 2006, after a period at the National University of Singapore, he obtained a PhD in Computer Science with honors and co-founded BMAT. Since then, he has been part of the company's management team. Today, BMAT provides audio and data technologies and platforms to all stakeholders, acting as a music operating system.
