Gip Cafés Cultures is dedicated to supporting artistic employment in local venues. It helps to encourage and sustain the employment of performing arts artists and technicians in these living spaces, which are essential to the cultural vitality of our regions and are often the first places where artists are presented.
In practical terms, Gip Cafés Cultures manages two aid funds:
- Since 2015, a fund for cafés, hotels and restaurants;
- Since July 1, 2023, a fund for other occasional employers, such as neighborhood or village associations, municipalities with fewer than 3,500 inhabitants, farms, small businesses, etc.
These funds are financed by the French Ministry of Culture and by local authorities at all levels wishing to deploy the scheme in their areas. They thus have a new tool at their disposal to support cultural practices, develop the attractiveness of territories and work towards a rich and diversified network.
This workshop, aimed at artists, occasional employers and local authorities, will provide an insight into the workings of these two funds managed by Gip Cafés Cultures, which has already supported over 128,000 artists' and technicians' fees since its creation.
