Although concerts and African music content are proliferating, the emergence of a genuine pan African live market is still hindered by regional disparities. This round table aims to map the existing networks, analyse programming practices, touring circuits and the growing influence of digital platforms. Panellists will pinpoint both the obstacles and the new drivers that can increase artist mobility within the continent and beyond.
The discussion will also feature the Institut français' introduction of Création?Africa, a new digital platform for professionals across the continent, designed as a hub for resources, networking and mobility support.
The event forms part of the Africa?Creative?Sounds programme, developed with the support of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs through the Création?Africa initiative.
