The Voice, Nouvelle Star, La Star Academy... are all attractive TV shows for artists. Some emerge from them with glory, others with recognition, but is it really a springboard? In the age of YouTube, TikTok and social networking, do TV talent shows still provide a means of gaining visibility and launching a career in music?
