Reputed to be an impenetrable black box, post-covid China nevertheless represents an increasingly accessible market, provided you have the keys. What are those keys?
This conference is an opportunity to gain insight into existing ecosystems, particularly in terms of access to DSPs, touring opportunities and large-scale professional festivals, through discussions with seasoned professionals from the Chinese market. This debate will not only provide a China101-style introduction, but will also debunk certain preconceptions, and present some of the major changes that have taken place in recent years.
The conference will demonstrate that it is not only possible for French artists to consider China as a promising destination, but also that the situation presents a unique opportunity while certain imbalances linked to covid still exist. The relative scarcity of foreign groups, the speculative bubble in Chinese A-listers' fees, the professionalization of crucial players... these are just some of the topics our speakers will be addressing during this conference.
