In a world where creation is everywhere but artist-authors often remain invisible, how can we make our voices heard more clearly? Why should we engage collectively when we're songwriters, screen composers, comedians, writer-directors, or dubbing authors? And above all: what's the real role of a professional organization like Unac?
Founded in 1959, the Union Nationale des Auteurs et Compositeurs (Unac) brings together creators from all musical and audiovisual backgrounds. It works daily to defend their rights, influence professional negotiations, and represent these essential professions before public authorities, collective management organizations, and cultural institutions.
Through this round table, UNAC offers a conversation free of jargon and empty talk - focused on the need for engagement, the battles to be fought today (status, income, visibility), and the power of collective action in a fragmented ecosystem.
To close the session, Unac will present the Engagement Award - part of its long-standing Grands Prix - to the creators of the Sœurs Jumelles festival: Julie Gayet, Delphine Paul, and Éric Debègue. Through their initiative, they have played a key role in spotlighting creators across all disciplines.
A conference to reflect, understand, share… and maybe inspire action.
