Drummer-fronted psych-punk quartet WAX HEAD trade in blistering riffs, noise, and sweat-soaked live shows. Manchester-based, they’re on the frontline of the UK’s growing psych-garage scene.
Over the past year, the band has toured Europe twice supporting their latest two single releases and played national and international festivals like Left of the Dial, Sonic Waves, Manchester Psych Fest, Outer Towns, They’re Going To Be Big, Rockerill Festival, and more.
Released through Sour Grapes Records, their music reflects a DIY ethos and experimental spirit. This gritty blend of garage-punk and psychedelia has been championed by BBC6 tastemakers Steve Lamacq, Emily Pilbeam, and Deb Grant. The latest single, « Terminal Sinker », reached US airwaves with a spin on KEXP by Brian Foss.
