Fairly Score

In 2024, MaMA partnered with Fairly, an innovative company that has designed a revolutionary tool to measure and display the economic, social, and environmental impact of events. This tool, called Fairly Score, works similarly to Nutri-Score, but focuses on assessing the carbon footprint of activities. Thanks to this initiative, event organizers can now draw up a comprehensive and transparent carbon balance sheet, allowing the public to become aware of the environmental issues linked to each event.

For this first year of implementation, MaMA has undertaken an impact study of its activities at the FGO-Barbara, focusing on three essential aspects: CO2 emissions, environmental impact, as well as economic and social dimensions.

In 2025, MaMA plans to extend the calculation of its Fairly Score to the Trois Baudets venue, thus reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and transparency. This extension will make it possible to assess the impact of new activities and encourage a collective awareness of environmental issues.

Prevention and Awareness

SHWH
Each year, the SAFER association is present at the MaMA Convention to provide information on its awareness programs regarding gender-based and sexual violence and harassment.

On the Music side, a code of conduct is displayed in the various concert venues, and a SHWH (Sexual Harassment & Sexual Violence) referent is appointed within the team if needed.

The MaMA teams have also been trained on consent and how to assist victims of SHWH by the Consentis association.

Hearing Risks
Accredited professionals have the opportunity to have custom-molded earplugs made thanks to the renewed presence of the Earcare association in the FGO-Barbara hall. In addition, Thalie Santé also offers free hearing tests.

Free foam earplug dispensers are also available at the entrance to concerts for festival-goers.

Representation and Parity
MaMA's artistic program strives to be exemplary in terms of parity and presents each year 50 to 52% of projects whose leads are female or led by non-binary people. On the Convention side, 56% of the panelists were women in 2024.

University Partnerships
For several years, MaMA has partnered with university institutions (Université Lumière Lyon 2, IESA, EICAR, ICART, Sorbonne Université and LFI) to offer their students a first immersion in the music industry through an engagement experience at the festival.

La Nouvelle Onde
La Nouvelle Onde is an initiative launched in partnership with the CNM and MaMA in 2018, aimed at highlighting, showcasing, and networking the rising generation of professionals in the music sector in France, the New Wave of the music business.

Each year, a class of laureates from the #PrixLNO and #30under30 is selected from among the applicants and benefits from one year of support with a mentor.

In 2025, MaMA will also offer a student rate in order to remain accessible to the new generation of professionals.

Involved in support and professional integration, the association also offers training and discovery pathways around the professions of event management, audiovisual, graphic design and media.
