Heritiana Ranaivoson is a research professor at imec-SMIT at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. With a PhD in Economics (Paris 1), her current European research projects focus on digital platforms, recommendation systems, diversity, equity and discoverability. His areas of expertise include the culture and media sectors, in particular audiovisual, music and news media. His latest co-edited book is "European Audiovisual Policy in Transition" (2023) published by Routledge. He is a member of the UNESCO Reflection Group on the Diversity of Cultural Expressions in the Digital Environment.
