Pamela's music is all about spontaneity. Together, Samuel Sprent and Simon Quénéa offer instinctive music that only needs a few sessions to find its cruising speed. One day in the studio? One track behind, ready to explode.
Accompanied by Pierre Cheguillaume in the studio - a producer from Nantes who brings a subtlety to the prods and intervenes on Pamela in the manner of Rick Rubin - the duo proposes a meeting between LCD Soundsystem, The Cure, Joy Division, The Strokes. Arctic Monkeys, Soulwax and Damon Albarn.
A band with heady refrains, strong, often looped melodies, a dance music that incorporates intentions from indie rock, pop, britpop, electronic music and chanson. And always in English, since that's Sam's native tongue, but also the preferred language of a band that really comes into its own live. In addition to releasing their first tracks this autumn, Pamela will be opening for Zaho de Sagazan in the coming months, before hitting the road for MAMA in Paris and the Transmusicales in Rennes.
