Abrupt and sincere. Nerlov is like that. As fatalistic and cynical about himself as he is about the decaying world around him. All depicted with a pen dipped in bile that becomes beautiful precisely because it never tries to be pretty. A bit like Philippe Katerine depressed at Kompromat. Or Booba replacing Elli with Jacno.
A little pop, a little electro, a little chanson. And none of it really. Nerlov needed to express his disillusionment in his own language.
After two EPs, a handful of singles under this name, and a selection at the Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges in 2022, the Angevin artist is now approaching the long-awaited milestone of his first album, still accompanied by Atom (C2C, Beat Torrent) on production. The first opus, Pas si grave, was released on May 17, 2024.
