Soumaya Benghabrit has been Director of Human Resources at ARTE France since 2018 and is a member of the company's Executive Board. Before joining ARTE France, she spent eleven years as Director of Human Resources at Amaury Sport Organisation (Amaury Group), the company that owns and organises major sporting events such as the Tour de France, the Paris Marathon and the Dakar Rally. Her career in the media began in 1997 when she first joined ARTE France (formerly known as La Sept ARTE) as Head of Human Resources. In 1999, she joined the Canal+ Group to help set up the news channel i>télé as Head of Human Resources. She went on to hold a number of Human Resources Director positions in the Technology and Information Systems, Sports and Distribution sectors. Before turning to the media and sports events, Soumaya Benghabrit gained three years' experience in nuclear engineering at SGN. She studied law and economics at the Université Panthéon Assas and specialised in human resources management with a DESS from the Université Capitole in Toulouse.
