Sean Adams founded Drowned in Sound, the music publication, community, label and podcast.
Since its launch in 2000, DiS has supported independent artists and alternative stars, while producing records by Kaiser Chiefs, Bat for Lashes, Martha Wainwright and many others. Two and a half decades later, Sean continues to write the newsletter and host the podcast, while managing The Anchoress and Charlotte Church.
He has also provided consultancy services for platforms such as Catalog and Endlesss, been a columnist for The Sunday Times, worked for BBC Radio 6 Music, and lectures on topics at the intersection of music and technology.
Sean continues to advocate on behalf of artists, leading ethical campaigns on fair royalties and artist support, while campaigning for political reform in the UK towards a more proportional system.
You'll find him online on all platforms under the pseudonym @seaninsound (a nickname given by the band Metric).
