After working at Apple (Marketing) and spending several years immersed in Africa with griots (Ethnomusicology), Olivier Covo ran a sound identity company (Brandy Sound) and developed a study and research center on the impact of sound (Sound Value), based on a PHD he supervised on musical symbolism. Administrator of the Unesco Sound Week, he has developed approaches to sound ecology in the corporate world.
Drawing on these experiences, he co-founded Mangroove Music with, among others, Eric Bellamy and Manu Katche, to develop innovative approaches to storytelling in which music and science combine to protect living things, raise awareness and take action. Sensitivity as a vector for transformation.
Mangroove Music is a music label with a social and environmental impact that develops the conviction that artists are ambassadors for the living. We bring together associations, music industry professionals, scientists, experts and committed artists. This hybrid community of players builds musical projects together, encouraging collaboration and the dissemination of new positive stories for a fairer, more sustainable world that respects planetary limits.
Our raison d'être: to use the power of music to raise public awareness of ecological issues, while supporting associations.
