Marie-Anne Robert is President of Sony Music Entertainment France. She oversees all operations, signings and acquisitions, while accelerating digital transformation and developing opportunities with Sony's sister companies. She brings inclusive leadership with a strong focus on creativity, innovation and a vision that puts the artist at the center.
From 2018 to 2020, she was General Manager, Marketing & Artists Services at Believe. She built up and led a team of 180 people in 12 markets.
From 2015 to 2018, Marie-Anne Robert was Vice President International in New York at TuneCore, the company's digital music distribution subsidiary, leading the brand's international expansion and launching the service in France, Germany, Italy, the UK and Australia.
Between 2009 and 2013, as Marketing Director at Believe Digital, she was in charge of marketing and promoting the Believe Recordings catalog. She was then responsible for video at Believe Digital Studios for France, the Middle East and North Africa.
Marie-Anne Robert's professional roots lie in hip-hop, having begun her career in 1998 as head of interviews for Lehiphop.com, the largest French-language hip-hop website. After several internships at EMI & Barclay in Paris and Interscope in Los Angeles, Marie-Anne Robert joined Virgin Music France in 2005 as project manager in the company's image department, where she supervised photos, clips and illustrations for artists such as Royksöpp, Cali, Mano Negra, Moby, Cheb Mami and Alpha Blondy.
In 2006, Marie-Anne Robert returned to EMI as Senior Project Manager in the marketing department, where she worked for three years on artists such as Alain Souchon, Renaud, Air, Phoenix, Camille, David Guetta, Cali, Benjamin Biolay, Jean-Louis Aubert and Yann Tiersen, before joining Believe in 2009.
In addition to all this, Marie-Anne Robert is a mentor who is very involved in the issues of women entrepreneurs in the music industry, and an active member of MEWEM (Mentoring program for Women Entrepreneurs in Music industry).
