Karen Buse has over 35 years' experience in the music industry. For 28 years, she worked for PRS For Music in the UK, heading up the international division, responsible for over 300 million euros in revenue a year, as well as leading the membership team, which looks after 125,000 songwriters, composers and publishers. Karen left PRS in 2017, after working briefly as a consultant for CISAC, and joined BMI, the world's largest performing rights organization, six years ago, to advise on international strategy and manage relationships with over 100 societies worldwide. In 2019, she was appointed MBE (Member of the British Empire) by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, for services to the music industry.
