Graduating as an artist-musician and teacher from Pôle Sup' 93 and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Claire went on to perfect her aesthetic skills in a post-master's program at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

She is a laureate of the "Trente de moins de trente ans" category of the Prix La Nouvelle Onde in 2018, and of the Sylff de Tokyo foundation's scholarship scheme in 2020 and 2021, and is supported by the Mécénat musical de la Socie?te? Ge?ne?rale and ADAMI.

Passionate about transmission, Claire is keen to work with all types of audience.
After being double bass teacher with the DEMOS I?le de France project at the Philharmonie de Paris, she now teaches at the CRR de Versailles Grand Parc.
She regularly works with institutions to run master classes and creative residency projects with young musicians and school audiences: "Tous Mobilise?s" in a Paris REP school, Batuta Foundation in Colombia, Ligue de l'Enseignement in the Cher department, AIMS, CRR de la Réunion...

As an interpreter, she has taken part in numerous projects showcasing the diverse possibilities of her instrument: after exploring the orchestral world at ONDIF and Studio Musikfabrik (Cologne) during her post-graduate studies, she decided to focus on musical creation and theater, with an emphasis on transdisciplinary approaches.

Fascinated by the dialogue between sound and visual arts, she co-founded the Cie Les Parlophones in 2022 with visual artist and set designer Hortense Gesquiere, with whom she has worked on a number of projects, including the creation of the collection "Improvisons", text and graphic scores, a creative residency with patients.es at the Centre Hospitalier Théophile Roussel with the association Tournesol Artistes à l'hôpital, and creation and distribution of the shadow-theater musical tale "Le retour des fleurs", co-produced by JM France and directed by Sue Buckmaster and Charlotte Jouanneteau, which is scheduled for some 100 performances throughout France in 24-25 and 25-26.

She is also a member of the duo Tourne Sol with accordionist Sophie Aupied-Vallin, and collaborates with contemporary dancer Ines Sofia Cardona Parra.

Claire Lebrun is also founder of the Chanteloup-Musique music publishing house and label.
