Akotchayé Okio has been active in the music industry for 20 years.
Starting out as an artist, he then became involved in cultural entrepreneurship in Africa, helping to structure the sector. He has been the promoter of a festival and a TV program to discover new talent, and editor-in-chief of a cultural magazine.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Ensemble Artistique Nationale du Bénin.
Based in France for several years, he continues to work closely with Africa:
He was Manager of African content at Believe.
Now in charge of African development at SACEM, he works to advance copyright on the continent.
