In this panel artists and music organisations explain how they use their platforms to discuss and instigate change on issues relating to the music industry, politics and society. We consider the influence that musicians and the music industry can exert on public opinion, and the ethical issues around this. From behind the scenes lobbying, to artists who risk speaking out, even if it might alienate fans, this panel considers the role of activism in music, and how we can best use our voices to move toward a more equitable, diverse and conscientious society.
