How do you turn a cult 90s film into a musical? That's the question Mathieu Kassovitz and Farid Benlagha Le Hazif asked themselves when they set out to create La Haine, Jusqu'ici rien n'a changé. A musical show touring the length and breadth of France, its aim is both to convey the powerful message of this landmark film of a generation, while also paying tribute to a musical genre, rap. For the MaMA Festival, the show's producer Farid Benlagha Le Hazif will be on hand to talk about the genesis of the project and the challenges that he, Mathieu Kassovitz and the entire show team had to face in adapting this work for the stage.
