ARTE launches its competition for female directors of live recordings!
Of all the directors who produce ARTE Concert live recordings every year, almost all of them are men. Faced with this observation, ARTE wants to help women aspiring to become live show directors by setting up the first competition dedicated to live show directing, the first edition of which will be held on May 17, 2025 at the Gaîté Lyrique in Paris.
This competition is primarily aimed at women who are already working in the audiovisual sector, helping them to break out of the roles of assistant director, cameraman or script in which they are sometimes confined, without being offered the possibility of becoming a director.
This conference, which coincides with the opening of the call for applications, will give you the opportunity to find out more about this initiative, and to ask the organizers all your questions.
