Mila Necchella, a DJ and producer based in Marseille, actively campaigns for the visibility of female artists and minorities. In 2022, she created Sororo-Club, a project aimed at combating gender inequalities in electronic music through festive events, conferences, a monthly radio show and workshops for adults and children. She also launches Sororo-Lab, a professionalization program for local female DJs and producers, supported by Cabaret Aléatoire and the Centre National de la Musique. In 2023, she co-founded the all-female, non-cisgender Bass Juice Connexion collective, celebrating the diversity of bass cultures. Resident on Sacré Radio, she co-programs the Oh Plateau! festival. Behind the decks, her hybrid sets explore global bass, jungle, D&B, baile funk and more, blending percussive rhythms, powerful basslines and '90s influences, paying homage to music scenes from all over the world.
