Hot Bodies is the stage name of Franco-American artist Gærald Arev Kurdian (ex-This is the hello monster, FAIR 2010, Prix Paris Jeunes Talents), songwriter, performer, protean DJ and mother of ceremony of queer parties Hot Bodies Club and choirs Hot Bodies Choirs.
After several years mixing in clubs and performing on Europe's experimental stages, he has now returned to the generous immediacy of pop with a new album produced by Don Turi (Jeanne Added, Chien Noir, etc.), a mix of chiaroscuro cold wave, synthetic songwriting and folk melodies.
In this first album, voice, bass and electronic textures unfold in intimate, DIY tracks, sometimes featuring fellow musicians Chapelier Fou (Seeming) and Laura Cahen (Un Départ).
His concerts are sensual, unifying celebrations of difference, as much as moments of spectacle energized by the unique energy of his chosen family of drag performers.
