Fishtalk is part of the revival of the French noise scene, borrowing from the frenetic noisiness of Gilla Band and the synthetic ambiences of Arca.
Since an intimate debut EP recorded in their shared flat and released in 2021, the band has flourished on stage, where its members claim the queerness of their musical genre as much as that of their identities. The band's rock formation has been put to diverting use, inviting us into a dark, hypnotic trance where pop melodies, spoken word and bursts of white noise meet.
