Dendana

Dendana deco-star

Musique trad & monde North African song
Ile de France

The title of Dendana's fourth album, "Chadi Madi", is an expression
equivalent to the "Am Stram Gram" of French-speaking countries.
It refers to her childhood in the working-class districts of Tlemcen, Algeria, and evokes a return to her roots.
The album is written in "DÉRJA", the Algerian dialect, a blend of Arabic, Berber and French.
A multi-cultural language that he uses to mirror society and highlight its diversity.
With a free tone and everyday words, he speaks of living together, nostalgia and love for his country.
Chadi Madi, Am Stram Gram... What if there was no other choice but to tell the story of Algeria as it really is? A multicolored Algeria.
To color this album, Dendana draws on the timeless accents of blues, reggae, rock and gnawa music. Guided by the adage "Three cords & the truth", he describes the dreams and reality of a modern, independent Algeria.
