Aita Mon Amour is the duo of Widad Mjama (N3RDISTAN) and Khalil EPI. This project is the fruit of Widad's fascination with the ancestral Moroccan art of the Aita, a popular musical genre rooted in the Moroccan countryside, sung by the Chikhates, the women singers and guardians of a centuries-old tradition. Aita, meaning 'cry' or 'call' in Moroccan dialect Arabic, embodies both the call of the warriors and the voluptuous lament of love. This contemporary electronic music project explores this rich tradition dating back to the 12th century. Through their music, Aita Mon Amour offer a captivating experience that celebrates and preserves Morocco's unique musical heritage, taking listeners on a spellbinding journey through Moroccan culture.
